At the midst of Al-Ahsa oasis region (Al-qara village ) in Saudi Arabia lies the Al-Qarah mountain known of its beauty, the weather cool in summer and warm in the winter . Also the mountain is considered one of the famous places in Al-ahsa and is mainly popular to expatriates especially to the Filipino's here in Saudi Arabia. It was even name as "the enchanting Judas Cave"
Judas Cave was named after Judas Iscariot (one of the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ). After accepting the bribe of thirty gold coins and ran away, to cover his betrayal from his master, he holed-up in this cavern.
The natives called it “Jabal Garra” means a village of Green Mountain. They said that there’s a mystery lies in this cave. The home-born believed that whoever heard the sighing of Judas and clanking of gold coins inside the cave, he will betray somebody dearest to his/her heart. As per the FX777A freelance Filipino online writer. I and our HH group went here last Summer to visit the Judas Cave but this is my second visit. As I came nearer the place, I was joyful by the scene.
I discovered that Jabal Garra is composed of small mountains forming into one huge mountain surrounded by the barren sand dunes. It’s like a sculptor unfinished clay structure! My 1st visit was Last 2014 Judas Cave was no yet Renovated. But now since theirs a lot of tourist coming in the place the Government decided to renovate and make it the Tourist spot. the Place looks more Beautiful and lots of Clay attraction. There's stairs, lights, stores, restaurants. But I prefer the old Judas Cave since it felt more adventurous for me and more exciting because in the middle of the cave you can't see anything. It was very dark and you have to use a flashlight to see the walkway but now they placed rainbow lights for tourist attraction.
