Bamboo's 2nd Kitchen

Either you're craving for good Asian food or just famished, we must admit that one of the best Asian restaurant here in Al-Khobar Saudi Arabia is Bamboo Kitchen.

My family and most of my friends dine-in at Bamboo Kitchen almost twice or even thrice a month at the Mall of Dhahran (MOD) since aside from having really satisfying dishes, their prices are pocket-friendly and if there was one thing that I would ever complain about Bamboo Kitchen is the fact that if you come during peak hours, you’ll have to patiently wait in queue due to the large number of customers who are wanting to dine-in and enjoy.

Finally, this wait has been put to an end, or should I say just for the time being, LOL. I was surprised last week when I received an invitation to visit Bamboo Kitchen’s new branch at Dammam. I got so excited because this is one of my favorite asian restaurant here in the KSA. They offer the best Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Singaporean, Thai, Vietnamese Cuisine.

So what's new at Bamboo Kitchen - Dammam? Well, the interior design is awesome. A totally big change as compared to the dim-lighted branch at MOD. The ambience is cozy and fresh and well lit. The table and chair arrangements are great as well as the selection of furnitures. Just a little comment on the family area seats wherein we felt that the chair cushions are too soft yet comfortable and the tables are a little bit higher and not leveled ergonomically.

The restaurant is divided into two section (family and bachelor) as usual since it is mandatory here in Saudi Arabia.

FAMILY SECTION

I Love the fancy Bamboo plant that gives the ambience a more relaxing and cozy feeling paired with the soft lighting.

BACHELOR AREA

Love the decoration! Dumpling container on the wall? Perfect, just like DIY Decoration.

Aside from the totally revamped interior, there are also new items on their menu. The menu has really changed a lot. Here are a few of their new dishes and also their old-signature dishes.

Mighty is defined as great and powerful. This dish definitely gives justice to its name! Mighty Shrimp is now my BK Favorite! Battered Shrimp Tossed in a Spicy Mighty Sauce. Delish!

Cantonese Prawn Toast Topped with Sesame Served with a sweet and sour sauce.

This Traditional Soup Served with Chicken, Eggs and Scallion called "Corn Soup "is a big CHECK for my Little Hero. He ate all of it... didn't care to leave a single scoop for me to taste. hehehe

Hot and Sour Soup

A Traditional Hot and Sour Mix with Shiitake Mushroom, Eggs and Chopped Chicken.

Ginger Sesame Chicken Salad combination of Tomatoes, Crisp Carrots, Cucumbers, Wonton Dough, Sesame Seeds with Lettuce, Served with Your Choice of Fried Chicken or Crispy Marinated with Soy and Ginger Vinegar Sauce.

Thai Cashew Chicken Slices of Fried Chicken with Crispy Carrots, Broccoli, Mushrooms, Peas, Red Sweet Pepper with Roasted Cashew and Soy Sauce with Garlic.
